#i am actually going to throw up #he hates himself so much it’s fucking palatable #and who can blame him #here’s a guy where absolutely nothing goes right for him #job of his dreams? doesn’t get paid for it #finally gets that meal he was craving but couldn’t afford? it’s burnt #pretty girl shows interest? she lost a bet with her friends #paying job that could cover rent and decent groceries? caroline needs him or the van breaks down #nice pair of aviators? snap them in half #he’s the guy whose shoes have holes in the bottoms but he has to suck it up and walk sore footed #all of his jeans are either ripped at the knees or too short on him and show his ankles #the only socks he has are mismatched pairs because he’s lost the other one #his tea is always too weak his back always aches from heavy lifting and he keeps a migraine #he ALWAYS needs someone to talk to but he’s learned that he can’t because no one cares #caroline would hang up douglas would mock and arthur’s good intentioned but he can’t offer him anything #has he ever had a real friend? has he ever had a real relationship? #can’t we just get one thing in canon that says he’s had something WORTH having #someone who WANTED him for him #because getting the scraps of the cheese tray are not enough anymore and i want martin to have some bit of happiness

could someone please be a little kind to martin for a while?
